Travel through the musical centres of early 18th century Europe, in this recital of sublime sonatas for violin and harpsichord. Nathaniel Mander (harpsichord) and Sijie Chen (baroque violin) take you from Rome on 1st January 1700 with Corelli, before heading to London, Paris, and Leipzig (visiting Handel, de La Guerre and Bach along the way).
Sijie Chen is the co-leader of the London Mozart Players and a Wild Arts regular, as well as touring with the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields. On period instruments she plays with the Academy of Ancient Music, the English Concert and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment.
